Why Attitude

Good care. Thoughtful teaching.

From the teaching to the spaces where dancers practice, here is what you can expect when you visit.

Teachers with current careers.

Ballet is taught by a UW–Milwaukee faculty member who performs with three companies. Jazz and lyrical by Water Street Dance Milwaukee’s rehearsal director. Meet the teachers and read about their training and performance experience.

The lobby: chairs along the wall and a TV that streams the classroom.

You can see the class.

TVs in the lobby stream every room live. You can follow what your dancer is learning from the waiting area.

Secure studio entry.

Fingerprint entry for families, cameras in every room and hallway, and a front desk between the door and the studios. Ask at the front desk for help with entry on your first visit.

Age first, then level.

Classes are labelled by age band and level to help you choose. Teachers move a dancer up when it is time, and Pointe requires Pre-Pointe plus approval, every time, for every dancer.

Training toward a team.

Recreational classes and technique training can lead into the competition program. Ask the studio about preparation, auditions and the commitment involved.
